What do you mean by "industry code"? Where in TurboTax are you entering an "industry code"? Are you talking about the business code for Schedule C?

And what exactly do you mean by "not accepting"? What happens when you enter a business code? At what point does TurboTax tell you that the code you entered is not acceptable? What is the exact error message, word for word?

Are you using TurboTax Online or the CD/Download TurboTax software? What edition are you using (Basic, Deluxe, etc.)?

If you are using the CD/Download TurboTax software, make sure you have updated your software.

How do I update my TurboTax CD/Download software program?

If you are talking about the business code for Schedule C, the IRS revised the list of codes this year. You can only use a code that's in the 2022 list at the end of the Instructions for Schedule C. A number of codes from past years have been removed from the list.
