TurboTax including estimated tax payments for 2025 with my filing. I had a tax obligation in 2024 that I do not expect to continue. Do I have to pay the estimated taxes?

Am I obligated to pay the estimated taxes that TurboTax is including in my filing?

No, you're not required to make estimated tax payments; TurboTax is just suggesting it based on the info in your return.

Thanks, I hope you are right. No mention of estimated taxes was made until I paid Turbotax and reviewed my filing. What a surprise from them.

Yes, that is correct. TurboTax is not telling you that you are required to make any estimated tax payments.

TurboTax always automatically creates four estimated tax payment vouchers for you to print out with your tax return. They are really just for your convenience.

These do not get transmitted to the IRS. You do not have to use them.

You can discard them if you like.
