Turbotax does not clcoulate well in 2021 for child tax credit

There is no known error in claiming the Child Tax Credit.

For the tax year 2021, the child tax credit does not show on Line 19 of Form 1040, but instead, the whole amount will show up on Line 28 of Form 1040 because all of it is refundable.

To claim any missing credit, you need to file Schedule 8812. Follow these steps to properly claim the Child Tax Credit:

1. With your federal return open:

2. Click on Show more next to You and Your Family under Deductions & Credits
3. Click on Start or Revisit next to Advance payments, Child and Other Dependent Tax Credits 
4. Answer the questions on the screens that follow
5. Done
