TurboTax Desktop Mac 2021 - how do I import cryptocurrency?

TurboTax Support provides a nice video for "How do I import my cryptocurrency transactions into TurboTax?" here: https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/cryptocurrency/help/how-do-i-import-my-cryptocurrency-transactions-into-turbotax/00/2401540

Problem is, none of this applies to the TurboTax Desktop Mac 2021 version.   I can't find any mention of cryptocurrencies, import from Coinbase, etc., anywhere in the Desktop product.  (I thought the Desktop product was supposed to have the same feature set as the Online product?)

Any help or advice would be appreciated.

TurboTax Desktop currently does not support the importing of cryptocurrency .CSV files. However, @harbinger910 did find a workaround using a .TXF file if your platform supports it.

Another workaround you can try is to start a TurboTax online account, import your cryptocurrency data and then save the .tax file to import into your desktop version. To do this:

  1. While you are in your tax return, click Tax Tools on the left menu.
  2. Click on Tools.
  3. In the pop-up menu, click on Save your 2021 return to your computer.
