Turbo Tax says that I am a clergy or member of a religious sect, and I am not. How do I change this?

I am not a clergy.  How do I fix this erroneous thing that has been added to my return.  Turbo tax is asking me about housing allowances, etc.

You must have answered a question incorrectly somewhere in My Info.  Click edit by your name and go back through those screens.   If you do not find it there, then it it is going to be somewhere in the income interview screens.

I don’t believe the question about clergy is located in the personal information section. I believe it is a follow up question when you enter a W-2. There is a page of special circumstances and one of the checkboxes is for religious wages.    If you entered a W-2 And accidentally checked the box, you may need to delete it completely and start over.

The other trigger that will cause the program to ask about housing allowance is if you use job code 813000 on a schedule C. This is the job code for clergy but it is also used for certain  kinds of grantsmaking organizations, and if you use this code, TurboTax will ask about a housing allowance. If you have a schedule C business and the correct business code is 813000 but you are not clergy, simply enter zero for any questions about your housing allowance or other clergy related expenses.  This situation will not cause your schedule C to be incorrect.
