Turbo tax says I filed individual returns, but I checked joint filing status. Does that mean our indiviual return is actually a joint return?

The tax return that you file for your personal information is considered to be an individual return, regardless of the filing status.

It is called an individual return to distinguish it from a business return (i.e., corporate or partnership return).
