Turbo Tax says I cannot e-file because I have a form 7202. I don't have this form.

Go to Forms in TT (click Forms in upper right of Screen). Find Form 7202 in the list of forms on the left, click it. Once the form loads, click Delete Form on the bottom of the screen. Save your return. Go back to Step By Step and run the review again. You should be good to go for e-filing.

Form 7202-T would have been generated in response to questions about your employment, particularly if there was qualified sick or family leave.  Self-employed individuals use Form 7202 to figure the amount to claim for qualified sick and family leave equivalent credits under the FFCRA on their 2020 tax return.

Please check the entries for any income being reported in your tax return.

To delete an individual form, please follow these steps:

TurboTax Online

  1. While in your return, click on Tax Tools > Tools (in the black bar at the side of your screen).
  2. In the Tools Center, under Other helpful links click on Delete a form.
  3. Click Delete next to the form you want to delete and follow the onscreen instructions.
  4. Once you have finished deleting the desired form(s) click the Continue with My Return box (in the lower right of your screen).

TurboTax CD/Download

  1. Go into Forms Mode by clicking on the Forms icon in the top right of the blue bar
  2. In the Forms in My Return list on the left, click on the form you wish to open and delete.
  3. Click on the Delete Form box at the bottom of the screen.
  4. To return to the interview, click on the Step-By-Step icon in the top right of the blue bar.

I have the same problem that 7202 is erroneously appearing on my return, populated with zeros but still preventing me from e-filing.

I am using the desktop download version for Mac OS.  Following the instruction posted in the form comment string I can open the form, but once opened, I do not get a "delete form" option at the bottom for the screen.  I can't get it to go away.  HELP

Sorry, I don't have the Mac version.  Have you checked the menus (top of screen) for a delete form menu item?

Thanks for your kind response.  I found it in the "Forms" menu at the top - there is a delete form option there.  It works.  Just perplexing why the forms were there to begin with.  Anyway - past it so alls good now.  Have a nice evening.
