Turbo Tax Massachusetts 1NR incorrectly transfers income from W-2 with both RI and MA income tax withholding

Hi,

I imported a W-2 from Paycor that showed RI and MA income plus withholding on line 15, 16 and 17 on the RI wages.  The MA and RI amounts showed the same wage and had their corresponding tax withholding for that. Turbo Tax MA added these two together (doubling the wages) in its Form 1 line 3 even though the federal amount in line A was correct (it only included a single RI wage amount). I had to zero out the MA amount in the Imported W-2 to have it properly calculate the total wages to tax.

Yes, the W2 should only have the nonresident state listed on the w2 in that case.  The resident state automatically picks up state income. You can edit the w2 and delete the errant MA income information in boxes 15-17 to correct the situation.
