Turbo tax glitch on Disaster distribution question

Is there a way to get help from turbo tax without paying hundreds of dollars for live chat? I mistakenly hit yes for disaster distribution thinking it was stimulus. I hit yes & entered an amount. It immediately doubled my tax owed. I knew this was incorrect so i read up on it backed out the amount & checked No. My amount owed never went back down. Its like turbo tax is still recognizing the amount I backed out?

You can speak to a person, you just have to go through the procedure to do that. You can get TurboTax support contact information, including phone numbers, at this link: https://turbotax.intuit.com/support/contact/index.jsp

Thanks, I've done that multiple times it disconnects me because I don't have TurboTax live which I believe you have to pay hundreds for. It tells me to go online. There is no answer to this question online

Are you using TurboTax Online?  To reset your software, please try the following steps which may help clear the loop you are experiencing:

  • Log completely out of Turbo Tax.
  • Then, clear your cache and cookies within your browser and completely close out of it.  I have included the Help Articles below if you need assistance with clearing cache or cookies.
  • Re-open the browser and log back into Turbo Tax and see if this fixes the situation.
    • You can also try a different browser as well, or "incognito mode".

If none of the above steps resolve the issue, please reach back out here in the thread and someone will follow up with the next steps.
