Turbo tax gave me a http link to file tax extension- said it’s not working.should I go into IRS site to file extention instead?

Yes, you can file an extension through your TurboTax account, or Easy Extension here. 

 

To file it through your TurboTax account:

 

 

1. Sign in to your TurboTax account.
2. Select Other Tax Situations.
3. Select Other Tax Forms.
4. Select Start to the right of File an Extension.
5. Select Start Easy Extension.
6. Complete all the questions and either e-file, or print your extension for mailing.
