Hi, we followed publication of 523 and we qualified for a partial exclusion of capital gain due to change of employment and relocation. However TurboTax Premium showed us not qualified for exemptions and our net gain of $2K is taxable. This is different from what I got after 523 worksheet calculation.
We bought the house in 2013 and lived for 18 months before we moved to another city in 2015 due to job change. We sold the house in 2018. Per publication 523, we don’t need to pay for the capital gain. How can we change turbo tax result to match publication 523?
