Turbo Tax did not prompt me to prepare an Arkansas state tax return. I moved to Arkansas on December 17, 2019, and included that in my information. Do I not have to file in Arkansas?

Did you have any Arkansas sourced income in 2019?

I moved from Texas to Arkansas in December.  My employer withheld Arkansas state income tax of $314.75 from my last paycheck.

Thanks for responding.😊

In the My Info section of the program for your personal information, you should have entered that Arkansas was your resident state in 2019.  You should have also indicated that you lived in another state in 2019 and entered that state and the date you moved to Arkansas.

Entering the W-2 with Arkansas state income taxes withheld would also have given the program the information that an Arkansas state tax return need to be created along with the other state tax return where you lived before moving to Arkansas.
