Turbo Tax categorizes my US address as a foreign address (Italy)

I imported my tax information from last year's taxes and this year Turbo Tax insists I live in Italy. I can't seem to override this. Help

Ah! I quit TurboTax and restarted and now it seems fixed. This all occurred after I updated.

Also, I tried starting a new return from scratch, and it did the same thing with my address and made the country Italy. This is the same address I've been using for the past 13 years...

This has been happening to me as of today and I am not sure how to fix it.

Ok, I quit turbotax and inputted my U.S. address information again and now all seems to be well. Phew...

Keep in mind that clearing your cache and cookies can also be very helpful when you experience unusual behavior in any software.  It handles many issues that seem nonsensical on a regular basis. 

  • Close your TurboTax return first.

Watch to be sure you are selecting 'all time' as example.  Do not use selections like 'last hour' for those browsers that give you options.
