Using TT Business to prepare an estate tax return is a joke. So, it can fill out the form. But it doesn’t ask many of the pertinent questions that should be asked for an estate…RMD taken for traditional IRA (or, heck, ANY 1099’s?!), addressing homes that are co-owned with spouse, addressing any tax exemptions for home sales, how about increases in the value of IRAs between date of death and distribution? Yada, yada, yada. This piece of crap takes your money for a minimally developed product (you had better be comfortable with taxes and have the IRS instructions open—and still be ready to have your time wasted) with this one…and good luck addressing everything you should. Take your money elsewhere. I’m sure not giving it to Intuit to fix a return that should be super easy with a few questions! (And, yea, I’ve used TT products for years (20?) but this one blows!
