Are, or were you a college student under the age of 24 in 2019? If so, then most likely your parents' claimed you as a dependent on their tax return because they qualify to do so.

did you use IRS website to file for stimulus?  that's the equivalent of filing a tax return for 2019 so your actual return will be blocked.   no matter what the cause you can only paper file.   you might be able to check your status by going to iRS website registering and getting transcript for 2019.       identity theft is always a possibility. in you believe that's the case file for 14039 with your return.

not it is not ID theft it was me forgetting i had filed. all the IRS says is still being processed. $ months?
