TT2019 success on Windows 7 (Windows Seven, not Windows Ten) ?

Has anyone here successfully completed all the following on Windows 7 -

  • installed TurboTax 2019 on Windows 7,
  • downloaded and installed updates,
  • brought in last year's data from TurboTax 2018,
  • completed this year's 2019 taxes,
  • printed all the forms,
  • completed e-file of Federal tax?

If not all of the above, what have you successfully completed?

Thanks!

I installed on Win 7 and Win 8.1. Win 7 never accepted the activation code.

Win 8.1 installed, updated and completed two days of forms. Than it refused to open again.

Every time TurboTax wanted my License Code. On the third day, it wouldn't recognize me at all.

Intuit is still telling customers that 2019 works with Win 7, Win 8.1 and the online version. Their Web site says the same but none of it is true.

I, long ago installed Win 10, on my laptop and at the next boot-up, my C:\ drive failed. Thanks Microsoft!

I can answer my own question with an update.

Today I successfully:

  • installed TurboTax 2019 on Windows 7,
  • downloaded and installed updates,
  • launched and activated the software,
  • brought in last year's data from TurboTax 2018,
  • completed my 2019 federal taxes,
  • downloaded and installed the state tax software,
  • completed my 2019 state taxes,
  • printed all the forms required for filing.

I did not attempt to e-file.

I have the CD version for TT2019 Deluxe, federal, state, federal e-file. I tried to download the software since it appears it comes with all the current updates included. Presumably that would avoid encountering the unable to update problem, at least initially. Unfortunately I was never able to successfully connect to the download site so I reverted to the CD. That was not an inspiring start.

This was the first cut of my taxes to see if everything would work on Windows 7. I need to go back through and thoroughly review my return. I printed to test that function and also so that I would have a hard copy in case things go south from here.

I did not try to launch TT again yet. I don't want to trigger unnecessary repeat activations if they haven't fixed that problem yet.

I'll post again after I try to e-file.

Haven't been able to install on windows 7 with the dowloaded link either.

So far it's real hard to get info or solution.

The software should work with Windows 7 (Service Pack 1 or later) but Intuit strongly recommends upgrading your operating system before installing these products.
