TT Business E-Filing. TT asks "Number of employee w2s issued for 2017" I do not recall this question in the past. Is this some type of verification prior to e-filing?

Thanks @Critter#2 , but I don't get it. I did not enter any W2 information in TurboTax, but we had 3 part time employees during 2017. A payroll service took care of the quarterly, and year end payroll stuff.
Do I just enter 3, even though no W2 information was ever entered into TurboTax?

This is an IRS requirement this year ... I have to do it in my professional program this year also.   Yes, if you issued 3 W-2 forms then just enter 3.

Follow up question to this!  With 2 officers and 7 part timers that all got W2's, Do I answer "Number of officers with compensation " as 2 and "Number of employee W2s issued for 2017 as 7?  Or 9, which is total W2s issued including officers?

Great question. One that I see no one has answered. It should be answered, since (at least in TurboTax Business) that line "Number of employee W2s issued" seems ambiguous when Officers are also compensated and have W2s.

@ken6  @Workpuddle  You answer with the total number of W-2s issued.  In the example above that is 9.
