TT 2024 has no option for importing 2023

Are you using the Online version or the Desktop program?  And where is your 2023 tax file?

If you used the Online version last year you can Transfer it into the Desktop installed program.  Starting in 2023 there are new buttons when you start a new Desktop return.  You can Import from Online or Transfer from Online.  So look for those.

Are you using the desktop download or are you using online software?   If you are using online, you need to be in exactly the same account and the same user ID that you used for 2023, and then you can transfer 2023 to 2024 easily.

If you are using desktop software, when you start a new return, after you click "Begin" or "start a new return" you will get a screen that lets you choose to find a 2023 return that is on your own computer, continue without transferring or transfer a return from online TT.
