Trying to import 1099-INT form from Ally Bank. It is a combined statement. Seemingly only one account's information, my checking account, is being imported. If only manual, how should I go about imputting checking and savings interest?

What I placed in the title is most what I already wanted to ask. Ally Bank is being difficult and I just want to put in my combined 1099-INT.  This is my first time filing taxes, I want to do it right the first time.

@NathanielThompson

Go back and Edit that 1099-INT on the Wages&Income page.

The paper PDF, that you can download separately from ALLY, has a final combined 1099-INT on the last page of that form-set, that has the total interest paid out to your account.  Edit in just that final total.

Yes...1099-INT imports from ALLY have been screwed up for several years...with useless finger pointing from both sides.

Double-check the import every year until they get it fixed (am I'm dreaming?)...or just go ahead and manually enter the proper total every year.

Thank you for the information.

Real quick though. Do I import the half 1099-INT first, then edit? Or do I just make a manual 1099-INT from the get-go?

I'd just enter it manually.   (Gives me practice on navigating the manual entry for all kinds of forms too)

________

I have several CDs there...so have always had to make sure to get the total one in.
