Trying to finalize and file but I cannot get rid of the $39.99 premium fee that I do not want or need - how do i do this?

You can delete Premium from your account. However, if you choose to have your TurboTax fees deducted from your return, the State of California requires you to have the Premium package for the added identity protection. You can avoid that by paying for your TurboTax fees up front.
