Trying to enter stock income. Not sure if it should be on Schedule C or not. I seem to be going in circles

Your investment income does not go on Schedule C.  It is not self-employment income, it is investment income.  Enter the 1099-B (or DIV or dividends) and it will flow to the correct forms and schedules.
