I tried to open TT 2019, it asked to do an update and when t started to run it asked for the License Key.
I provided the correct license key but it does not work.
How can I open TT 2019.
I purchased on Amazon and the License Key was store there, so I have the correct key.

Sorry, You can't install or reinstall or update 2019 anymore. They only support the last 3 years and took off 2019 when they moved 2022 to the past year section. And 2019 was the first year they started using the License Code to activate the program so it has to log into Turbo Tax. You can't activate it now. It will fail.
If you need to see the tax return and didn't save the pdf file, you could try the TaxPrinter service to convert a .tax2019 file to pdf at

That is SO Broken. I did save the PDF but I wanted to see some of the underlying data in person.
Does this mean all the other earlier versions do not work either.
This is very sad.
I do NOT need support I just want to run a program that I paid for that USED to run.

Just found the same for 2019, 2020, and 2021.
I had no issue launching 2015-2018. Iirc, 2014 and earlier stopped working a while ago, so I had uninstalled it (I have the install/tax files back to 1997)
2022 and later still work, maybe not for long for 2022.
I'm now glad I print the "Supporting Forms and All Calculation Worksheets" pdf every year - all 150+ pages. A good habit to have
