Thought my state tax was free if done by 3/15?

Guess there's a catch to everything, and nothing's free. It would have been nice to have explained that, at the time. Was forced to go from $39 to $79 for fed, and got charged for state, to boot. Should have done it all, myself.

The banner you saw was about the end of free state returns with Federal Free Edition (Absolute Zero) on March 15; you apparently don't qualify for that, most likely because you need a long-form 1040. State returns are currently $39.99 extra with all paid versions of TurboTax Online.

Bad decision on your part. This will be my last year using your product.
