This is the first year I have not worked so I did not receive a w2. Can my husband claim me as his dependent?

Technically, he can claim you as a dependent on a separate return if you had zero gross income. However, this is not usually not the best choice. He can get the same benefit of claiming you as a dependent with better tax brackets and more available tax breaks by filing a married joint tax return.
