The turbo tax field for ip pin is only 5 numeric digits long. My ip pin from the irs is 6 numeric digits. A community search says this is a known bug. What is the fix?

The community answer suggests I should modify your source code to fix this bug myself!  Really?

The Self-Select PIN is a random 5-digit number that you enter as your electronic signature when e-filing your return. The IP PIN is a 6-digit number that the IRS assigns to victims of tax-related identity theft.

And, if it isn't clear form the TTX article.

IF you have an IPPIN, you avoid the rejection/error, by entering it before you e-file.

TTX does have a place to enter it....

The 6digit IPIN is entered on the Federal "Other Tax Situations" page.
