The screen display of my return has different numbers than the return. Is this a software issue?

Windows 10, Turbotax Deluxe. A screen display shows (name), Let's Review Your Numbers.  It shows my Total Income, which is higher than any other numbers in my PDF review.  This appears to be a software issue, but at least the return is correct.

Given the limited data provided, it sounds like you have income that is not taxable.

For example, depending upon your total income, Social Security payments may not be taxable.

Not sure what you mean by "pdf review".  But if you have printed or saved a pdf copy and then made any changes at all it may change the numbers.  While you are working on your taxes, every so often, or after you finish each section,  go to Forms, open the 1040,  and look at each entry.   Right clicking many figures will reveal a magnifying glass icon and a menu. Choose Data Source and follow each item back to its original entry point.  Doing this will tell you what happens to each item.   For instance, the program sometimes inserts a special credit or deduction  you are entitled to.  Also, the screen version  includes many worksheets that don't appear on the actual return, but show where the numbers came from.

Excellent deduction bosso3. It is our non-taxable social security income that is the difference.  Thanks!
