The QBI calculation performed by Turbotax on my return is wrong, producing a number much higher than it should. How can I see the details of the calculation?

2 K1's = 57,054, Sch C = 47, Sch E (rental) = 5,390, 1/2 of SE tax = 2,290. This should give QBI= 12,040, but Turbotax says it is $ 16,977 !! Why?

Qualified Business Income and the Qualified Business Income Deduction are computed on IRS form 8995 or IRS form 8995-A.

You may view the form and the calculation in your tax return.

In TurboTax Online, you may print or view your full tax returns prior to filing after you have paid for the software.

  • View the entries down the left side of the screen at Tax Tools.
  • Select Print Center.
  • Select Print, save or preview this year's return.

In TurboTax Desktop, select FORMS in the upper right hand corner of the screen.
