The page for TurboTax Quick Employer Forms is saying I have to purchase a "hard" copy of TurboTax to use the online forms? Can I not get QEF when using TurboTax online?

I am using the web version of TurboTax Self-Employed. All the links to the "Quick Employer Forms" take me to a page that says "To continue with unlimited access to TurboTax Quick Employer Forms, you must be using 2020 TurboTax Business or 2020 TurboTax Home & Business software products, which can be purchased here." But then on another place in TurboTax it says that the Home & Business has been rebranded "Self Employed" this year. Bottom line, even though I'm signed in on quickemployerforms.intuit.com it's not letting me access the Quick Employer Forms because it's saying I have to purchase a CD software version first.

Since you are using the TurboTax Self-Employed online edition, try this to access Quick Employer Forms -

Sign onto your TurboTax online account - https://myturbotax.intuit.com/

Scroll down to Your Account and click on Show

Click on Create W-2s and 1099s

Are you accessing it from inside your Self Employed version account?

Thank you! This method worked. It seems like TurboTax hasn't updated their links in the web service or in the help section to point to that new location.

Thanks for this! I had the same problem and the same solution worked for me. Links in the Help Panel that are provided when clicking on "Help me prepare and file W-2s and 1099s" as well as the "Paid a contractor $600 or more to do work for me. Learn More" from the Income & Expenses section have still not been updated.
