The IRS links to intuit as someone who can provide 990-EZ submission. But the help center here says that it cannot. What is true?

Here is a link to the IRS page showing Intuit as an MeF provider for form 990-EZ: https://www.irs.gov/charities-non-profits/tax-year-2022-exempt-organizations-modernized-e-file-mef-providers-form-990-ez

The reference to Intuit is likely in regard to the tax software produced by Intuit for use by paid tax professionals, not to any version of TurboTax.  It would be cost-prohibitive to purchase any of Intuit's professional tax software just to prepare one filing.

As stated on the IRS website - https://www.irs.gov/charities-non-profits/tax-year-2022-exempt-organizations-modernized-e-file-mef-providers-form-990-ez

It does not mean that a software package includes every possible schedule or attachment, or that it will meet the needs of all filers. It is the filer's responsibility to contact the provider to determine if the software meets their needs.

TurboTax does not support IRS Form 990 or 990-EZ
