The Employer ID Number in box B has no dash, and when I input the number that is there it pulls up what seems to be an entirely different company in a different state?

The number listed is xxxxxxxxx. When I Input it into TurboTax it automatically adds a dash.

The employer ID number (EIN) is 9 digits long and is usually in the format XX-XXXXXXX.  If you enter the EIN without the dash TurboTax will automatically add the "-".  It is not unusual for the name and address of your employer to be from another location, state, or a different name.  If you have entered the correct 9 digits for the EIN and have any questions about it being correct contact your employer to verify the EIN and company name and address.
