Teenager under 18 earned about $4000 in 2021 and got a W-2. She has to file her own taxes but I want her as a deduction on the family taxes. How does that work?

Same way as last year.  She files her own tax return, making sure that she answers YES to the ''can someone else claim you on their tax return?''  question.   You list her as a dependent on your tax return and take the associated credits.    She should get anything withheld from her pay (in Box 2) refunded to her and you will still get all of the dependent child tax credits you would normally qualify for.
