Taxes submitted around 1pm CST on the 15th. My 2 state returns weren't accepted until the 16th...am I going to be subject to a late filing penalty?

Federal return was accepted same day on the 15th, but my 2 state returns say accepted in the 16th despite me filing all 3 by 1pm CST. Are my 2 state returns considered late due to this? I don't owe money to either state and 1 I am set to get a return on.

If you submitted your state tax returns by 1pm CST on the 15th, but they were accepted on the 16th, you generally won't be subject to a late filing penalty, especially since you don't owe money to either state

States typically consider the submission time rather than the acceptance time for determining lateness
