Tax Year Prior to 2020: When will Schedule B for Form 8995A be available so I can e-file?

Right now it says I must paper file. I want to e-file. Will this form be supported and if so, when?

Yes, I need to know as well.  We waited until Feb 20th to get form 8995A and this an attachment to that form.  It is unacceptable that Schedule B is not ready.  I have heard I can use HR Block but prefer not to do that.

I spoke over the phone with the TurboTax support and was told it is scheduled to be available on March 1.

Thanks --that is very good news.  I made the mistake of buying HR block program as an alternative.  However, there were issues including the fact that their Solar Form is not able to be efiled so I would be back to Square One, also issues of data transfer etc.

I just spoke with someone at Turbo Tax who said this form is now expected to be ready to e-file March 5- although, she said, "you should just paper file it to be safe, because who knows if it will be ready!"

Yikes!!

The form is available.  To check, click here: availability

However, please first update your program:

  • If you are using the TurboTax CD/Download software program, open the program, from the top, under Online, select Check for Updates.
  • If you are using the online version, it's an automatic update when you sign in and out.
  • For the desktop, make sure to exit the program after the update, then return to open up the program.

Indeed, the webpage says 'available' to e-file but TT still says I am unable to e-file due to this form- but I can go ahead and paper file.

I talked to a women today at TT at she said they don't know when it will be ready. Poor communication and mixed messages.

Thank you for staying on top of this.  Hoping for March 5th, but low expectations at this point.

I completed the TT updates online and still get the same message that e file is not available.  I efiled the same data last year but this year version does not seem to work

The form 8995A is now been available for a while. The form is automatically generated if there is QBI present in your return.

8995a  Available for several weeks, yes, but not able to be e-filed if Schedule B was attached as well.  I finally figured a work-around.  Shocked that TTax not able to fix this after 6 weeks.   Intuit can purchase Credit Karma for a few billion but can't pay programmers to fix Schedule B for e-file, not acceptable.

What is the work around as I spent an hour and a half on phone yesterday (Friday March 20) with no solution for an efile.  The most frustrating time I have had with TT in 20 years

Victor W9, when will efile be available for Form 8995A in TT? As of yesterday the Home and Business program still does not allow efile of aggregated QBI

As of 3/22/2020 no date has been given for when efile will be enabled for Form 8995-A Schedule B.

For Form 8995-A Schedule B, e-file will be enabled in the update scheduled on or about 4/1/2020.

Is the about 4/1/2020 for the form 8995 A form have a more specific date?

I tried again today since I want my taxes filed to qualify for the stimulus checks since my income is less than 2018 and will qualify me for more money.

Same issue seems to be happening in 2021...any timeline for the form in 2021?
