Tax Year Prior to 2020: I was paid cash daily with no taxes taken out. How do I claim my income?

You will file a Schedule C as a self-employed person.  You will need the TurboTax Self-Employed software.  The software is really great at walking you through and asking questions.  Just be sure to read any blue text links for additional information and help.

The information from the Schedule C will flow to your individual Form 1040 income tax return, along with any other personal income/deductions you have.

After you enter all your income and deductions, you will pay what is called self-employment taxes on the "net".
