Tax Year Prior to 2020: I have a w2 not a 1040.

They're asking me for last year tax form but only gives me 1040, 1040ez, 1040a, 1040nr, 1040x but no w2

A W-2 is entered on a form 1040 and that is the form that is filed with the IRS. There are several types of 1040s. Your return would have been filed on one of them.

The W-2 is the tax document that your wages are reported on. The 1040 (or form 1040) is the tax return in which reports all of your tax documents on (i.e. W-2, investment income, mortgage interest, etc).
