Tax Year Prior to 2020: I claim my 3 kids as dependents. I spoke with the irs to find out where is my refund. She said it was because health care marketplace. My ex put the kids on his wife'ins.

I claim 3 kids as dependents. My ex put them on his East insurance for 3 months. They want a 1095-a form which I don't have access to. The irs told me to write a statement with that and it should take care of it?

I would try to reach out to your ex and let them know you need information from the 1095-A for your tax return since the kids were covered for 3 months.

If the IRS told you to write a statement explaining the situation and you are unable to get the 1095-A from your ex, I would do that ASAP and send it in so there is not a further delay of your refund.
