Tax Year 2016: I got married in 2016. Both my husband and I previously used turbo tax. My husband has a special IRS Identity Protection Number. Can we file jointly using my turbo tax?

Yes, you can.  Before you file, you will want to enter the IP Pin.  Here’s how you enter your 6-digit IP PIN In TurboTax.

Instructions

1. Open your return in TurboTax, if you don't already have it open.
2. In the search box, search for IP PIN or ip pin (2 words) in the search box and then click the "Jump to" link in the search results.
3. TurboTax will take you to the Identity Protection PIN screen. Answering Yes will open a field where you can enter your 6-digit IP PIN.
