Submitted my tax return under at last year's legal name. Got it changed January 24th but couldn't get the W2 changed. I got a name change and gender marker change. Filed

I had completed filing today. But whenever I had did that I was starting to become curious about the fact that I got in my name change this year as well as my gender marker change. What can I do to make sure I get my refund this year. I still have all documentation like my old identification cards and stuff just for records . please help

Also i had gotten a 8822 form

You should file your tax return using the name that is listed on your social security card, regardless what it was last year. The IRS matches the data against Social Security Administration. And it doesn't matter what the name is listed on W-2, as long as social security number matches.  If the name doesn't match, the return will be rejected, change your name then and re e-file.  Gender change is not relevant for tax purposes.

Form 8822 is for the change of address. Use it if you changed the address after filing your tax return. Otherwise, discard the form.

Okay because under my social security card it has the name that I have right now. Last year's tax returns as last year's first middle and last name. How do I go about getting my W-2 form just the name to match my social security card? I already filed today but I'm kind of confused because it was accepted. And also when I try to get it changed by the employer they said they couldn't get it changed so that's why I'm very confused and the woman that I spoke to on the phone the expert she had told me to fill out that form and then send it to the IRS but it was not a name change due to marriage it was for myself.

If it was accepted, then you are fine and you don't have to do anything. As I explained in my answer, all the IRS will see is that your W-2 matches the SS number, name is not relevant.
