Stimulus check and TurboTax authorization

I authorized TurboTax to take my payment from my tax return. What I would like to know is was my direct deposit information still forwarded to The IRS?

Yes, your refund went through Santa Barbara Tax Group, a 3rd party bank who is working directly with the IRS.  Your bank account information was provided to SBTG and not to the IRS.  This means that the IRS does not have your bank information as of yet.  SBTG is working directly with the IRS to make sure that you get your stimulus funds.  We do not have an official answer as of yet on how this issue will be handled.
