Thank you for the additional information. Please follow the instructions below on how to enter the foreign income and possibly qualify for the Foreign earned income exclusion (up to $103,900 of foreign earnings can be excluded for 2018) and for the Foreign Housing Exclusion.  Please see Publication 54 for details.

  1. Open your tax return
  2. Click on “Personal Income” on top
  3. Click on “I’ll choose what I work on
  4. Scroll down to “Less Common Income” and click “Start” next to “Foreign Earned Income and Exclusion
  5. TurboTax will walk you through the questions.

Can you please give some more details? Is he active duty military? What location does he work at?

My husband is a contractor and has SOFA status.   Our income up to 105k is suppose to be non taxable, but I am not sure what form we need to fill out to get the tax exemption.
