State Income Tax Refund for 2018 issued 2022 taxed

Hi! I filed my state 2018 taxes in 2022. I received a refund of $1865. I took the standard deduction for my Federal Taxes in 2018. So that refund should not be taxed. Turbo Tax is counting that refund as taxable. I see no place to mark that amount as non-taxable. Can you please help me? Thank you.

Are you sure it is marking it as taxable?   Just because you see it on the income summary page in TurboTax does not mean it is being treated as taxable.   As long as you told TurboTax that you took the standard deduction last year, the amount will not be transferred to your tax return.   Preview your Form 1040 to verify.    The income summary page will show all of your entries whether taxable or not, but only taxable income gets transferred to your Form 1040.
