starting a new tax return on line

I am trying to start a 2023 tax return, and it, the program online, will not let me start a new year return. I have finished the 2021 return, where it keeps me. and I cant delete because there is no option to delete these old returns... help

Please explain when you prepared a 2021 return.  Was it back in 2022 when people prepared and filed 2021 returns?   Online can only be used now for 2023 returns; no other year can be prepared online and no other year can be e-filed now.   We need to understand what you did in order to understand your issue with using online for 2023 now.
