Software Error

I need a copy of my return.  When I try to access the software I get a generic error.  all it says is

Looks like we've run into an error. 

The only option is to close the software.  How do I fix this?

  • If you prepared your return using TurboTax Online, please see how can I access my return after I've e-filed or printed it for steps.  Another option is to clear your cache as there could be something that needs to be cleared to allow you to proceed.
  • If you prepared your return using TurboTax Desktop, please follow these steps to manually update your software.  This should update your program and allow you to log back into the software to see your return.
