Single F1 Visa holder on OPT Claiming number of allowances in W4 and NC4-Ez?

I have question regarding filling W4 and NC-4EZ.

My status: Single F-1 Visa on OPT

W4:
—–
What are the allowances I am allowed to claim in A-H?

What is the number I can put on #5 of the form?(Depend on previous question)?

Some where I read that OPT people can claim only 1. I am not sure about the accuracy of this information.

NC4-NEZ:
————
What should be kept in fields 1-5?

Should I claim as head of household?

Requesting help. Thanks in advance.

If you are a non-resident alien, there are special instructions.

You are allowed only one exemption (with few exceptions) and you need to write NRA on the dotted line in row 6.

Bine22: Do you have any information about NC-4EZ?

Do I need to select anything Single& Married seperately section?
Do I need to put 1 or 0 in the question1 (Total Number of allowances you are claiming)?

AS a non-resident alien you would need to fill out form NC-4 NRA instead. www.dor.state.nc.us/downloads/nc4nra.pdf

W-4 : If you are a single F-1 with OPT with no dependents, you will only want to claim 1 exemption on your W-4. Just claim yourself (box A) and put "1" for Box #5.

NC4-NEZ : Just check the "single" box and put "0" in box 1 (if you are single with no dependents you can not claim head of household)

In W4 point 6 I am writing as NRA (Non Resident Alien) and point 7 is not applicable for me. Am I right? box 'B' condition also satisfied for me (Single and only one job) even though am I not allowed put "1" for that?

W4 box 6 and 7 leave blank, You can also leave box B blank (the more exemptions you claim, the less they will withhold in taxes). Edited 1/15/2016 by Frank Gerbus, Answer Exchange Manger

Dee, it's rather the opposite, the more exemptions you claim, the less taxes are withheld.
