You can securely import your 1099-B, 1099-DIV, 1099-INT, 1099-OID, or 1099-R into TurboTax, provided your broker or financial institution participates in our TurboTax Partner program.

When you get to the place in TurboTax where we ask if you received that form, answer Yes and we'll give you the option to import.

You can also jump straight to the section for your specific 1099 form. Here's how:

  1. Sign in to TurboTax and open or continue your return.
  2. Search for the 1099 form needed and select the Jump to link in the search results.
  3. Follow the screens and you’ll be able to import your form.

Tip: Be sure to select the right financial institution or brokerage from the list. For example, several participating partners' names start with First National Bank and if you select the wrong First National Bank, you won't be able to import.

You can import up to 1,500 transactions from your financial institution in TurboTax Online.

Go here to see how to take a picture of your 1099-MISC in the mobile app.

How do I import my 1099?

Even though this FAQ refers to Schwab, it would the same directions apply to whichever company you are using:  How can I fix my 1099 import issue?

Yes, it is very difficult when the two systems are not talking to each other.

I just got off of the phone with a TT customer support person (she actually called me, because I put a neutral happy face on one of the feedback questions - they have to call everyone who does not do a full smiley face or a 7 or less on the final rating - NICE!).

She told me that TT and Wells Fargo Advisors are still working on this known issue and there is not a "fix" date yet.

Yes, they both know about the upload issue (not working) and they are trying to fix it.

If you are like me and you want to file your taxes by 2/28 to get the very nice discount ($20 off of Federal and $10 off of State), then you can call them right before you pay for the filing (if you cannot get them filed because of this issue) and get a "voucher" code to still get your discount.

Just got it to work. Thank you everyone for letting me know on this site (I asked for updates) that it was working again this year.

I work on-line and I did not have to update anything. Just went back in and it uploaded from WFA this time.

Good luck everyone.

Yes, TT did not alert me, but I saw all of your comments on the threads that I posted to.
