Should I report interest income from 1099-INT that I received from Vantage West Credit Union?

Why didn't you ask me for my interest income information?

Yes you need to report all 1099 forms you received.  Did you already file without it?  You have to report all your income even if you don't get a 1099 for it.

Enter a 1099-Int  under

Federal Taxes tab

Wages & Income

Interest and Dividends

Interest on 1099INT - Click the Start, Revisit Or Update button

ps.....Don't enter the bank name and don't try to import it.  It is just as fast and easy to manually enter it.  When you enter a 1099 the first screen is How to Enter, by Import or Enter it Myself. Scroll down and click the last circle to enter it myself.

Yes, you should normally report all taxable interest, whether or not you received a 1099-INT.

I can't address your second question since I don't know what path you took through the federal interview. However, it would be a good idea that when you receive a tax form, that you report it in TurboTax whether or not TurboTax asks for it.

In this case, you would have done a Search (upper right) for 1099-INT and click on the jump-to result. If you are a Mac software user, go through the Topic list for 1099-INT, highlight it, and click on Go.
