Should I report form 1042-S (income code 29) as an interest income like 1099-INT?

Hello,

I am on H1B Visa and considered a resident alien for tax purposes. I received a 1042-S form from one of the banks for the interest income generated on the deposit. The income code on the 1042-S form is 29 with 3a Exemption Code as 02 and 4a Exemption Code as 15

Should I report this income as an interest income like 109-INT on my tax return?

Please advise.

Yes, you would report this as interest income in your return.
