Should I include my child's earned income in my tax filing?

Hi, My daughter is 17. She made about $2k from lifeguarding for YMCA. Obviously she doesn't need to file her own tax as the amount is low. I file her as my dependent. Do I need to include her W2 income in my tax filing?

Thanks!

No you do not have to enter her W2 income on your tax return.  There are some rules that apply to passive income, but not active so if she does not have to file a return, you do not include it on your return.
