Should I have included a copy of my business extension Form 7004 with my final business tax 1120s filing

As I was filing my final 2021 business taxes in October '22, I noticed that Turbotax had included extension Form 7004 in the filing. I mailed that in March '22 to get the extension. I went ahead and deleted the 7004 form from the final biz tax filing and submitted the filing to Turbotax, but I wanted to double check that was the right thing to do. I'm assuming that I accidentally answered a question wrong so TT included the extension I'd already filed in the final tax filing. So was it okay to delete it? Or was Turbotax rightly attempting to include a copy of the original extension with the final filing?

I noticed Turbotax individual included a copy of my original personal extension form (which I filed in April) with my final individual tax return as well. I didn't bother deleting that. If it wasn't supposed to be included in the final filing, will that mess anything up? Thanks!

There should be no need to file the form again in your case although it would not "mess anything up" if you did so.

However, note that your S corporation return was due March 15th and your extension was good for six months so the return is late at this point.

Thank you. Yes, I realized that I had been mistaken in thinking the extensions gave me until 10/18/22 for business and personal. I'll wait to see what IRS has to say about penalties.
