Should I file state taxes jointly or seperately?

I recently got married and am filing jointly for federal. My spouse is a legal resident of North Dakota and I live with him there as of October 2019. I still have my drivers license in and go to school in Minnesota. I also work in North Dakota but filled out a Minnesota reciprocity form to have my income taxed out of Minnesota. Is there any way to file jointly for state?

Whether or not you file  jointly or separately is your choice but generally, if you are married it is more advantageous to file jointly. The following TurboTax article was written to help couples decide the best way to file. Should You and Your Spouse File Taxes Jointly or Separately?

When you file your federal tax return as married filing jointly your state return will also be completed as filing jointly unless you specifically select not to file a joint state return.
